Saint Lawrence Secondary Students to Participate in Art Harvest Dance Festival at University of Western Ontario
(Cornwall) – For the second year in a row, a group of St. Lawrence Secondary School (SLSS) students has been invited to participate in a dance show called Art Harvest, a fundraiser held at the University of Western Ontario in London. The event is in to award a deserving student the opportunity to be awarded funds to pursue studies in Dance.
Twenty-three students will be attending the performance at the Paul Davenport Theatre on September 29 at 7:30 p.m. Last year, SLSS alumnus Jocelyn St-Jacques was a recipient of funds to help her pursue post-secondary studies in dance. This year, St-Jacques will not only be performing, but will be leading the group of SLSS performers.
Drama students will also be involved by participating in a “Stratford Day,” where they’ll travel to Stratford, Ontario to attend a song and dance workshop, and attend the musical production, 42ndStreet. Students will also have the opportunity to meet and chat with actors after the show.
The cost of the tickets are $20.00 and can be purchased at the Grand Theater in London. For more information please contact Debbie Kapp at firstname.lastname@example.org
