The Special Needs class of Bur Oak Secondary School in Markham made history on March 3, 2015, when they competed at the Ontario Sears Drama Festival. This unique show titled “Shoes” featured youth who are living with challenges such as autism, developmental delays, and Downs Syndrome. In visually innovative ways, the show explores the hopes and dreams of these young people.
