On May 19, 2021, CODE released our panel discussion on addressing anti-black racism in the drama and dance classroom, entitled Recognize, Reflect, Refocus. The panel is moderated by Dr. Seika Boye, and features panelists: Michelle Rodney Bartalos, Wallis Caldoza, Ayesatta Conteh, Dr. George Dei and Debbie Nicholls-Skerritt.

21 Black Futures

If you haven’t checked out 21 Black Futures, the joint venture between Obsidian Theatre and CBC, you need to now more than ever.  21 playwrights, 21 directors, and 21 actors all representing and exploring black futures.  This is powerful work that needs to be shared and utilized widely.
