What is group membership?
Individual schools may purchase a School-wide Membership. The school receives a registration code that gives access to CODE membership for all of its teachers.
For arts consultants or central administrators, options involving multiple School-wide Members or a specific number of memberships could be considered. A longer trial (e.g., two-year membership) may also be considered as this may be a better runway for introducing teachers to CODE's resources.

Frequently Asked Questions
How can I get a membership for my school or memberships for my school board?
If you have approval from an administrator, representatives of individual schools interested in group membership, can make a request. Our Treasurer and Membership Chair will correspond with you to establish payment processing and registration processes for you and your colleagues.
If you do not have purchasing power, contact your arts consultant or the system principal responsible for the arts portfolio. Don't know who that is? Your best bet is to contact a Superintendent and request the contact information directly.
You can share this advocacy letter (PDF) with any of the folks to whom you reach out (Principal, Arts Consultant, System Principal, Superintendent). If they are not interested in a group membership at this time, you could always request for your Principal to pay for your individual membership.
I am an arts consultant or central administrator for my board. How can I get membership for multiple schools or multiple memberships?
School boards may also contact us to request a quote through this form.
Options involving multiple School-wide Memberships or a specific number of memberships could be considered. A longer trial (e.g., two-year membership) may also be considered as this may be a better runway for introducing teachers to CODE's resources.
Upon the establishment of a rate, our Treasurer will correspond with you to process payment. When payment has been processed, CODE's team will set up a membership and provide you with a letter to distribute to teachers.
Is it possible to get group memberships for secondary?
Yes, you can make an initial request through this form. Our Treasurer will establish a quote for the exact number of memberships you need and correspond with you to process payment. When payment has been processed, CODE's team will set up a membership and provide you with a letter to distribute to teachers included in the group membership.
How can I advocate for CODE membership to my arts consultant/principal/board?
Here is an advocacy letter to share with your Arts Consultant, Principal, etc. for this type of membership or to pay for your individual membership (if applicable).
What will happen to my account if my school/board does not renew?
When you sign up through a group membership, you have an individual account and you apply a code to it that associates you with your board or school's payment. Please encourage your board/principal to renew if possible.
If that membership is not renewed, your account will continue to exist, but it will be considered "Expired". In other words, you can log in, but you can no longer access members-only content. You are able to renew the account on your own by purchasing a membership renewal.
Will I have access to CODE discounts and reduced rates for conferences, etc. if I am part of a group membership?
Yes! You will have an membership account that functions like any other membership account, and you will therefore have access to all of the benefits of a CODE membership.
CODE is also willing to negotiate some additional benefits for group memberships (e.g., special webinars or workshops).
What happens to members with existing accounts when they become part of a group membership?
These accounts continue to exist as they would normally, but they are now linked to the paid-for membership. They DO NOT need to create a new account. CODE provides instructions for accessing the group membership for existing accounts and for new accounts when the group membership is established. If they recently purchased their membership, they can contact treasurer@code.on.ca to process a pro-rated refund or to extend the membership beyond the board-wide membership's term by the time remaining for their membership.
