Abstract:
Students dramatize characters during the creative process in this video.

Elements of Drama

This video podcast featuring Janice Barclay and Grade 2 students was developed by Curriculum Services Canada.  Students dramatize characters during the creative process

Length: 12:50

In the grade 2 drama video I like how the educator connected drama into different subjects such as science, language and drama. The educator also asked lots of questions which is important as it gets to think about elements of drama. The educator also used anchor charts to learn about drama elements and she used the anchor charts to see how students can improve their work. - commentary from a pre-service candidate

In this video I liked how they incorporated the retelling of a story with the body movement of drama. I really like that the teacher was taking pictures of the students so they could look back on their facial expression and understand the mood of the story and analysis themselves according to the story. I also loved how it was incorporating the 3 subjects of literacy, drama and science/social studies. - commentary from a pre-service candidate
