Group Creative Movement to Music

This video podcast, featuring Brooke Charlebois and Grade 8 students, was developed by Curriculum Services Canada. Students create movement pieces to discuss global issues.  Read the unit featured in this video, World on Fire.

12:07 in length.

I really enjoyed this video. It really provided great examples as we have learned in class to express ideas and thoughts through movement. Specifically focusing on the "Bodystorming" activity, it seemed to really make the students think outside of the box. To think critically. The way you had described "Bodystorming" as the movement form of "Brainstorming" was such a clear way of representing the activity. I really liked how the students had the opportunity to think through movement and share their ideas through movement. Incorporating the elements of dance was so beneficial to create discussion and ideas through movement. - commentary from a pre-service candidate
