CODE wants to acknowledge our collective grief and outrage for the 215 children found at the Kamloops Indian Residential School, and our ongoing pledge to decolonization, reconciliation and partnership.  This gruesome discovery is shocking, but, sadly, only one more in a long line of genocidal acts perpetrated through government policy.  Before reconciliation, there must be truth.  This truth is continually being uncovered.  Regardless of how we place ourselves in society (settler, Indigenous, immigrant), we need to sit with the truth, listen to the families and survivors, and commit to action for a path forward.
