Provocations: Drama and Dance in Education has released a call for submissions. Visit the Provocations website for more information.
Below is a copy of the call for submission.
Volume 1, Provocations: drama and dance in education - "Words, Words, Words"
Provocations, the new online journal celebrating drama and dance in education is excited to share our first call for submissions.
Theme: "Words, Words, Words" has its roots in Hamlet but has been a central area of tension and learning over the time of the pandemic and this journal's very inception. We are intentionally casting a broad net for our first call, because we want to hear from any and all who want to share. Whether you take up your quill (perhaps a stylus, now), your keyboard, your video camera, your audio recorder, your notebook or your sketchbook--we want to hear from you.
Prompts:
-
How is your practice, your space, your experience challenging the words you use, redefining words, looking for the truth behind words? Are they holding up? How are you connecting, perhaps, to the limitations of words, celebrating orality and physicality, finding story within words, exploring identity and words, digitizing words, my words, your words, their words. How have you created new publics for words?
-
Whose words are listened to? Whose words are silenced?
-
How are new words and new platforms for words disrupting, reframing, and recreating?
-
How do words (words, words) in their various manifestations bring a spark to your work?
We hope you will consider submitting to our inaugural publication of Provocations. Please review the Submission Guidelines below and the Provocations Submission Form.
