Resource - Art Fusion First Five - From Steps to Stories

  1. Home
  2. Resources
Abstract:
This introductory unit is designed for teachers both with and without experience teaching the intermediate dance curriculum. It begins with simple movement activities and games to build safety and community through playful movement. The elements of dance and dance terminology are actively reviewed and utilized during these activities, and throughout all lessons in this unit, giving both the teacher and students a solid foundation for further creative explorations. More complex concepts and strategies are scaffolded into each lesson as students become more equipped to explore, analyze, create and share dance creations.
