Invite students to write in role as a character (it could be someone in the image, someone who finds the image, etc.). Use a RAFT structure to support their thinking:
- Role - Who are you?
- Audience - Who are you writing to?
- Format - Are you writing a letter? An email? A text message? A story? A police report? How will this change the features or your writing?
- Topic - What are you writing about?
