Students reflect on their own performances and work together with their group members to plan and implement the stagecraft elements of their production.

Minds On (Approximately 30 minutes)
- The students review their pieces again, this time with their focus on a critical analysis of their own group’s work.
- Teacher-led discussion OR written assignment/journal-style entry on the overall success of their pieces regarding the following possible criteria/questions/topics:
- The parts of the choreography that communicated the intended theme/ideas
- What were the differences between the choreographers’ intent and the audience’s perception?
- What, in your opinions, was/were the strongest moment(s) in each piece?
- What do you feel was/were the weakest moment(s) in each piece?
- Parts of the piece they would do differently if given the opportunity
Action! (Approximately 40 minutes)
- The teacher introduces BLM#12 - Portfolio Component Four (Stagecraft) and assigns an appropriate timeline for completion.
- Students meet with their groups to brainstorm their visions for their pieces on stage before completing the assignment individually at home.
Consolidation (Approximately 5 minutes)
- The teacher reviews the expectations for both assignments and reminds students of the due dates.

- Students and teachers work to actually locate and use the elements of stagecraft for an actual performance for family, peers, parents, and teachers.
