Introducing Students to the Concept of Identity
There are variations of this activity. Students explore visible and invisible markers of identity. Encourage students to consider that in some spaces, invisible aspects of their identities become visible. Create a model for students with information you feel comfortable sharing. Remind students about their information that should stay with their inner circle and information they feel comfortable sharing with acquaintances like their classmates.
