Art Fusion First Five - Dance Inside and Out

Resource Details
Subject:
Dance
Panel:
Senior
Abstract:
This resource has been designed to support senior dance educators by offering five independent lesson plans that align with the Ontario Dance Curriculum. Each lesson introduces a foundational topic in dance education: Know Your Body: Anatomy of a Dancer, The 5 Ws and How of Dance, Choreographic Structures, Dance and Identity, and Dance and Mental Health. Each lesson can function independently, but they were intentionally designed to be expandable. Teachers may choose to use any of these lessons as starting points for larger units. Whether you are using these as standalone or starting point lessons, these topics will engage students in the theoretical and practical aspects of the curriculum.
